Christmas Beauty Favs

Hello all,

So after quite a long break of blogging due to my first term at university in a different part of the country, I'm back with a beauty post. I'll just be showing you of my favourite bits that I've gotten over the past two weeks, some gifted for Christmas and others recently bought. This is in no way bragging or showing off about what I have, I'm not even rich enough to do that! I, just like 90% of the female population love receiving/ buying beauty bits to treat and pamper myself with and I'm always interested in seeing what others got so without further ado..

From my dad and his girlfriend, I got a Baylis & Harding mini gift set and I used the shower creme and body lotion once and instantly fell in love with the smell. It's jojoba, silk & almond oil scented and it just smells good enough to eat!

From my mum's boyfriend I got the Diesel Loverdose perfume which I've uploaded a post on before so I won't talk too much about it but it's probably my favourite perfume to date. It's sweet and sensual and I love the bottle.

When I opened Alien by Thierry Mugler from my mum I genuinely squealed.. Sounds rather silly but I've wanted to get my hands on it for ages! The bottle is so amazing and the smell is dark and sexy. It's rather expensive so I've never been able to justify spending money on it. It's also refillable which means you can take it to a counter and have it refilled cheaper than it would be to buy a new bottle.

The rest of the things in this post, I then bought after Christmas with vouchers and money. Eylure eyelashes in 116 are in this post because I've been wearing them religiously for a year or two now and I get so many compliments on them, it's unreal. I was unfortunately born with short, straight eyelashes and so wearing fake eyelashes has become a habit of mine. I usually don't buy the pre-glued ones but this was the only option on my latest shopping trip but the style of the eyelash is still the same- long and natural looking.

My latest 'pop into town' resulted in coming home with a Mac bag.. Admittedly, I received a voucher for Christmas so I felt a lot less guilty! I chose lipsticks Hue (Glaze) and Faux (Satin) and eye shadow (Copperplate) to put in my Pro Pallet. Hue almost comes off as a light glossy lipstick in a nude-pink shade and Faux comes off more matte and bold in a 'muted mauve-pink' as described on the MAC website.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post and I'm really sorry it's been so long.

Holiday OOTD x2

Hat: Amazon
Dress: Missguided
Bag: Gift
Shoes: Topshop

Top: Topshop
Skirt: Missguided
Shoes: Topshop

Hey guys!

So while I was on holiday I managed to shoot two OOTDs. I got a few others on my phone (selfies) but didn't think there was much point in uploading them really! The first outfit is definitely one for holiday, the bag is so festival inspired and where else could you wear a hat that big!? The second outfit was worn for evening drinks and food. My two Missguided skirts (baby pink and mint green) were so perfect for holiday I had to give myself a small pat on the back for buying them. After all, nothing haunts you like the clothes you don't buy, right? They were bright, comfy and went with so many of my crop tops.

So, this is going to be my last post before I move to Uni. I don't actually know how long it will be until I get my next post up but I can imagine it will take a little time for me to settle in and get comfortable. I definitely have no plans to give up on my blog so don't you worry about that :-) I'll be back in no time.

Until then, a massive thanks to you guys, my readers for keeping me going!
I hope you've enjoyed my blog so far, I hope to improve with time and I hope you'll stick around while I go through a very exciting time in my life!

Lots of love,
Jade x

OOTD- Pop of Pink

Hello my sweets.

So this post was supposed to go up before I went away on holiday buuut I clearly got too excited and forgot. This post is actually pretty gloomy looking which is odd because it was still sunny when these pictures were taken! So, because I have a massive addiction to high waisted jeans, these low-rise jeans got pushed to the back of my drawers. As ripped jeans are very 'in' at the moment, I decided it was time to bring them back out. I think the easiest way to style these pink pumps is with neutral/muted colours- let the shoes do the talking!

I hope you all had an amazing summer, I sure did! My next post should be very soon after this one so keep an eye out :)

Holiday- Things I'm Bringing With Me

Hello everybodyyyy

So, It's officially 7 days until I jet off to Tenerife and ever since we booked the tickets, I knew I wanted to do a blog about it! I find these sorts of blogs interesting so that's why I'm doing one of my own.

Picture No.1
St. Ive's Apricot Scrub
Hugo Boss Orange Body Lotion
|Ren Eye Gel
Ren Day Cream
Nivea Lip Balm
Impulse Body Spray - Loving Words
Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Varnish
Body Shop Satsuma Body Wash

Picture No.2
The Fault In Our Stars- Borrowed from dad's girlfriend
Sunglasses- Primark £2
Shoes- Topshop £5 (SALE WOOHOO)
Hat- Amazon £4.50

Picture No.5
Company Magazine- One of my favs!
Coral Bikini- H&M £8 for both pieces

Picture No.6
Floral Bikini- Topshop £36 (I think) for both pieces

Picture No.7
Bag- Present from dad's girlfriend
Phone sticker- H&M £1 (SALE AWH YEA)

These are a few of my favourite items that I'm taking with me. I don't do many posts like this but I was pretty pleased with how this one came out! I tried to colour coordinate everything cus I'm just so pro like that. With regards to holiday beauty essentials, my biggest tip is samples! They're small so you use minimal space in your luggage and I've collected foundation samples from magazines. They are so great to bring with you when going abroad because if you're pale like me, you'll find samples are always in medium skin tone. If you're in the sun, you are bound to get a tan (hopefully) and so these medium skin toned foundation samples finally come handy!

I love reading books and holiday is the perfect time to start that book you've always wanted to read. I had Eat Pray Love and The Fault In Our Stars on my holiday reading list and it just so happened that Susan (my dad's girlfriend) had it and was happy to lend it to me!

The hot pink palm leaf slip-ons, I found on the topshop.com sale. You really can't say no to £5 Topshop shoes, can you? However, as many of the reviews also state, the online picture was so deceiving. They are definitely a lot brighter in person which makes them harder to style but never the less, still fab shoes for holiday.

And last of all, I am dying to talk about my phone sticker. How beautiful is it!? It's holographic which is gunna trip me out like balls when I'm drunk, but most importantly, It was a pound. I love snakes and snake print and I'd been looking for something to jazz up my phone for a while now. Oh *funny story* I've had an I-Phone 4 now for quite a while (I know I'm behind times) and was always super envious of other people using their cute emojis on twitter. Rather shamefully, I admit on several occasions, I considered getting an I-Phone 5 JUST so that I could use emojis. But I was looking into buying a new I-Phone when I discovered I only had to download the Emoji keyboard. 'Is this a joke' I thought. I can be so stupid and out of the loop sometimes it's  u n r e a l.

Anyway, I hope you like this post!

OOTD- Pink and Floral

Hello hello hello

So, I have a bit of a confession to make.. This is unfortunately the only OOTD that I took whilst I was up in York. *slaps own hand* I was just so busy having fun to be completely honest you. A lot of late nights, early mornings and fun packed days left me with little energy and time so I'm sorry for that. However, I do have quite a few pictures of what we got up to so I shall do another post with those pictures :) This outfit was for the first day. Loads of family came over for my cousin's birthday and we had a massive barbeque and played loads of party games. It was quite honestly probably one of the best days I've had in a long time.

OOTD- Mint Bralet

Hello cupcakes (gayyyy)

Haven't blogged in a short while due to being away in York but I took these pictures before I went, I just never got round to uploading. Naughty, I know. I must have been having an ugly day because I didn't get many photos that I liked out of the hundreds that I took but these shall have to do. This bralet is a bit iffy.. I don't have much boob to begin with and because of the cut of the top, you can't wear a bra either which sucks. I wore one anyway for this shoot but that's besides the point, okay? Because of these problems, I don't get round to wearing it much but it's still a pretty bralet none the less. This look is very pastel-y and pretty :)

INSPO- Edgy Iridescent

Hello everyone!

At the moment I am completely inspired and in awe of anything iridescent/ mermaid-esque. Anything that includes shades of lilac, violet, indigo, turquoise, baby pink, sea green and baby blue. Shine, sparkle, silver, gems with hints of holographic, pastel and finely netted fabrics. Now, the whole idea of 'Edgy Iridescent' is to add a bit of contrast. All the mermaid stuff can get a bit too girly and pretty and in-your-face, you could end up over doing it. With this look, I've concentrated on an edgy canvas, which is the black leather dress. This toughens the look up and enables you to add as many beautiful sparkly accessories as you please. I'm not suggesting you wear all of these things together but I found so many pretty things that I had to include!

OOTD- Matching Military

Hello everyoneee!
I went for military style today with a not-quite-matching co-ord (oops- colour match is a lot better in person, I promise!!) I got my trousers in the Exeter River Island sale quite a while back, I wore them once, put them in the wash and then they just sat in my drawer for months on end because I couldn't be bothered to iron them! I gave them a quick iron before I did this shoot but as you can see, they're still not crease-free. I think they're very Rihanna-esque and they're super comfy.

You can't tell in the pictures but today was extremely hot! So trousers, boots and big hair probably wasn't the smartest idea, but hey, that's me. I used a heated crimper for my hair today and I love it like this! I hate how my natural hair lacks volume and this hair style makes me feel like I'm Sammi from The Beauty Crush which of course, makes me very happy. I am actually getting into the habit of not wearing my fake eyelashes on a day-to-day basis which is a massive achievement for me, as I feel so naked without them :(. This also explains why I look slightly more asiany in these last two posts haha!

Today's photos didn't come out exactly as I'd hoped, the quality is a bit iffy for some reason. My camera isn't exactly the latest gadget going but it usually does the trick but for some reason the pictures today aren't great. I also forgot to add some fun poses into todays shoot- I got carried away with the seriousness! But please don't mistake this for me taking myself to seriously because I can assure you, that's not true :).

So after shooting, I admittedly got changed into something more breezy and popped into town for a Starbucks. I tried the new Red Berries Yoghurt Frappuccino and it was very yummy but tasted too average for £3.70. Might just have to stick to Mocha Coconut mmmm.

OOTD- Green Turtleneck + Chit-Chat

Helloooooo

Today's outfit is full of attitude! This is the first time I have worn a turtle neck and the first time that I've worn my hair out like this and I must say, I'm loving this look. I guess you could say this look is inspired by street style but not going full out. French plaits are very much on trend, they're hassle free, quirky and great for hot weather. This top was handed down to me but I didn't like the length so I cut it into a crop top and I borrowed shoes from my brother as we're the same size! I got my hoops in the sale for around £1.50 which i thought was brill but they're extremely heavy and I can't wear them for long without my ears hurting.

I'm very much getting into location shoots at the moment, they make sharing my looks more exciting for me and I'm sure it makes things more interesting for you guys. Me standing against the same wall repeatedly isn't creative in the slightest! The problem is, trying to find lots of different places to go. I'm quite lucky in a way that there are quite a few decent places to shoot nearby which means I don't have to travel too far.

I'm going up to York to see my family soon, one of my favourite places to visit. My grandma has a lovely home, cooks lovely food and always has lots of activities planned for us and I get to see my two young cousins. Having four siblings means a loud and hectic atmosphere when we join our cousins which I love. York is just a beautiful place, full of brick roads, large parks by the town centre and lots of busy people. I hope to do a few OOTD's whilst I'm up there, it would be a nice change of scenery for my blog, I think!

OOTD- 'I'll stop wearing black when they invent a darker colour'

Gesture at my Photographer laughing at me :(

Hello my loveliesssss!

Today's look, as you can see, is happy and full of colour! I tend to go for full black when I'm rushed to get ready as it's effortless and never fails me. Like many others, I dress for my mood and black for me, says 'I don't really know how I'm feeling'. Black is mysterious and doesn't give too much away.

I picked up my top in the River Island sale a little while back for £10 I believe. It has Japanese styled sleeves that finish just above the elbows but I often fold them up like I have here as I prefer it. The top is cropped but wearing my high-waisted jeans means no tummy exposure. Boots add height, comfort and a sophisticated yet casual feel. I went for a clutch today as I thought it added more edge.

I tied my hair in plaits after washing it and then let them loose for my poodle-looking hair and was not in the mood for eye make up (hence the glasses).

OOTD- Silver Skirt

Hey guys! Today was yet another hot and sunny day so I thought it was about time I put my year old, hardly worn Topshop skirt to use. I find it a little difficult to style, mainly because of the shape so I played it safe with a baggy white cropped t-shirt.
I traipsed into town for a Mocha Frappuccino in the sun and went outfit shopping for my friends birthday.

OOTD- Mint and Naked Babies

Today was yet another beautiful day! I've only ever worn this skirt once, with it's matching bralet on a night out but this top dresses it down nicely. I went to my little sisters sports day today with the rest of the family. I ate m&m's while we sat on a picknic blanket, soaking up the sun. Then I went into town and had lunch at Starbucks. I had a cream cheese and salmon bagel and yet another Mocha Coconut *yum yum* and then I went on a little walk in the evening.
