OOTD- White Mesh Dress

Hey guyssss!

So, as you may have already guessed, today is an outfit post. I recently posted about my Missguided order and this white dress was one included in that. I mentioned that the dress is slightly too big for me and the bottom isn't a flatter shape. It sort of goes outwards like an a-line skirt would and it doesn't quite look right so i tied a knot in the side. This dress goes with so many shirts in my wardrobe but today i picked my black denim jacket. This outfit is great to chuck on when you're not in the mood for choosing what to wear but most of all, it's comfy! A loose denim jacket and boots are a great way to dress this white piece down. You can obviously wear it alone with some killer heels for a night out- which i plan to do!

Hope you love this look as much as i do, thanks for reading!

Missguided order!

Missguided, are you trying to win me over with a free Kinder Bueno? Because it's working.

Hey everyone!

This is a quick one to show you what I recently ordered. This is the first time that I've shopped with Missguided and they sent me a cute mini Kinder Bueno! The skirt was in their saver section for £6.49, made out of a sort of scuba material with a cross over design. The top (£9.99) has a creped texture, different to the skirt but the colour match is spot on so I'll be wearing them together. The white t-shirt dress has rolled up sleeves and a mesh insert at the top.

The skirt and bralet i got in a size 6 which fit perfectly on me. The only issues i have are that the skirt material is a teeny bit transparent so you can see quite clearly where the two layers overlap to form the cross over on the left leg and the bralet is quite difficult to wear with a bra. For people that weren't first in line when God was handing out breasts, this isn't great news! But other than that, i think the colour is flattering and to be honest, I'm just glad it all fits. The t-shirt dress came with the option of a  S/M or M/L, so i opted for the smaller size. The sleeves are very large and point outwards which is a bit annoying and the fit towards the bottom isn't very flattering. It's a tiny bit too big for me but i quite like the over-sized look so I'm not too bothered.

I ordered this on Thursday 21st March and it arrived yesterday (Tues 25th) using standard delivery so I'm pretty happy with that! I'll hopefully be doing some outfit posts with these beauties so keep your eyes peeled!

Until then, thanks for reading guys!

HOW TO STYLE- White floral top

Hey everyone!

So as i mentioned in my last post, I decided to do a 'How to style' addition to my blog starting with this one! As you can probably tell, this post is based around this white top that i picked up from Primark (Further details in previous post). I love this top and i think its so versatile, you can pretty much wear it with anything and for £6- how can you say no!? I've done 4 quite different looks styling it with pastels (Image 1), a grungy look (Image 2), a look for a night out (Image 3) and an event/ evening meal look (Image 4). I think this top is also great used as a beach/ pool cover up to pop over your bikini!

Disclaimer: These posts are meant for inspiration so that you can get an idea of how to style this sort of top. It doesn't have to be this exact top and you can mix and match and take as much or as little advice from these posts as you like!

Look 1

This look uses pastel colours to create a feminine casual day time look. I've tucked the top into some high waisted jeans and rolled up the bottoms. You could style this with any pastel shade of jeans/ trousers. I think mint or baby pink would look gorgeous! I bought these double soled canvas shoes a while back for £20 but haven't worn them an awful lot. They're perfect for summer time and fit in well with the chunky-sole trend. I've paired this with my trusty gold chain which I've worn the death out of and my new sunnies. And yes, yes i did forget to take the stickers off.. This look is perfect for a day out in shopping or a trip to the beach.

Gold chain: River Island
Jeans: Topshop
Pumps: River Island
Sunglasses: New Look
Lipstick: MAC- Creme cup
Nails: Barry M custom made

Look 2

In this look I've paired the top with black high waisted jeans (untucked), an over-sized utility shirt, cut-out boots and a beanie to create a grungy day time look. This look is casual and comfortable yet stylish, rocking the monochrome and military trends in a laid-back way. The shirt, jeans and boots are items you can wear again and again so they're worth investing in. This look could be styled with a denim or any over-sized/ slouchy shirt instead. Boots and a beanie are a great way to tone down the femininity of a floral shirt.

Beanie: Gift
Khaki Shirt: Urban Outfitters
Jeans: Topshop
Cut-out Boots: New Look

Look 3

I'm not sure why this picture is coming out grainy but oh well. So, this look is perfect for a special occasion or an evening meal out with the family. I've tucked the top into a denim skater skirt and paired it with some nude patent pointed-toe court heels. These shoes are great for adding a bit of a grown up feel which i think is necessary when mixing a skater skirt with a baby face like mine! They're also great for an event you want to dress up for, but don't want to go all out with 6 inch heels. Match this floral top with lace, flowy fabrics and/or muted pinks for a pretty feminine look.

Denim skirt: New look
Heels: Primark

Look 4

This final look is for a night out so I've tucked the top into a body-con skirt, popped on a leather jacket for colder nights, put in some statement hoop earrings and paired it with black wedges and a clutch. A clutch is pretty mandatory for a night out, you don't want something you have to lug around but something big enough to pop your essentials in. This top could be tucked into any body-con or pencil skirt of all lengths and worn with any sort of heels. I love a bit of black with gold detailing! Sorry, I didn't get any close up shots for this look, my camera ran out towards the end!

Leather Jacket: Topshop
Hoops: New Look
Skirt: Topshop
Heels: Primark
Clutch: New Look

I hope you liked this post and found it helpful! I hope to do some more 'How to style' posts as I rather enjoyed doing this one :) Be back soon and thanks for reading guys!

STEAL- Primark

Hey everyone!Posting a quick one today. I'm going to be doing 'STEAL' posts every now again, which is basically me telling you about some great affordable buys that i find along the way! Todays STEAL is this gorgeous white (I'm guessing devore) floral top that i found at Primark for an amazing £6!! I personally think this is something you would typically see in Topshop selling for about £30-£40. Unfortunately i could only find it in white but theres a possibility you could find other colours in different stores or in the near future. I picked it up in a size 6 and tried it on at home, after I'd bought it, only to find i could just about fit my head through! So my advice guys is to try it on in store. It's flowy and has a slight over-sized fit, the sleeves are slightly longer than an average t-shirt sleeve and as you can tell, the netting is so fine, you can barely see any fabric there. So guys, a bandeaux or a bra-let is probably advised for this number.

I'm thinking about doing a 'How to style' post on different ways to style this top as i think its pretty versatile. You could put a grungy twist on it, play up an ultra feminine look, match it with pastels or even use it as a beach cover-up!

OOTD- Rollin'

Hey guys!

I bought this baseball top a little while back in the sale (£15) and was planning to wear it on a night out buttoned up on its own but it wasn't quite long enough *sad face*. Went for a bit of a grungey/ street style look today if you can call it that.. I'm never any good at labeling styles so please don't judge me if I'm totally off! I am dangerously swerving towards the all- black outfits at the moment as I am a massive lover
of monochrome. I am wearing Amorous MAC lipstick, for those that are interested.
Baseball top: BANK
Crop top: Topshop
High waisted jeans: Topshop
Chelsea Boots: River Island (SURPRISE)
Chain: River Island
I bought this crop top in grey and white also as i thought £8 each was a steal. Theyre ribbed and as you've probably noticed- seethrough. I would recommend getting a bandeau/ bralet in matching colours. I just use my Bikini strapless top underneath them all! I am a big lover of over-sized/ masculine sporty tops but they are very common at the moment so it's a bit difficult to style them in order to set yourself apart from everyone else. High waisted jeans are also a massive love of mine, as you can probably tell! Although, I've been wearing my black pair more than any of the others so i hope y'all aren't getting too fed up of them. I shall try and mix it up a bit!

Thanks for reading guys

OOTD- Khaki Utility Shirt

Hey everyone, I'm back!

So guys, as i said couple of posts back, I've been sorting out my portfolio and attending University interviews but that's all over now so i am back again! I've not done anywhere near as many posts on here as i had planned and hoped but now that all that Uni jazz is out of the way, I'm hoping to get my ass back in gear!

So over the weekend we've had lovely weather. Today was sunny but super chilly so i popped my sunnies on but took a jumper around with me.

Sunglasses: River Island
Gold Chain: River Island
Khaki Utility Shirt: Urban Outfitters (sale)
Jeans: Topshop
Chelsea Boots: River Island
I suppose today was a bit military inspired with the over-sized khaki shirt that i got in the UO sale by the way.. (Exeter Store) for £10 or £15 pounds reduced from about £40, so a pretty cracking deal in my eyes! I've been totally over wearing my Topshop jeans but i can't really complain when they aren't exactly cheap! I've been wearing my Chelsea Boots an awful lot as well.. I used to live in flats but being 5ft I've come to terms with the fact i need all the extra height i can get!

Thanks for reading chums, should be posting again soon.
